Rodinia starts work on Lithium Claims

April 14, 2009

Vancouver, British Columbia … Rodinia Minerals Inc. is pleased to announce that Hasbrouck Consulting has been contracted to conduct a 2D reflective seismic survey of the recently acquired Clayton Valley, Nevada lithium brine prospects. The seismic survey will delineate the six layers of lithium bearing brine located under the valley floor and confirm historic data based on four holes previously drilled in the area by the US Geologic Survey. An exploration and drill program started in 1976 using reverse circular drilling and careful logging of the cuttings was successful in establishing a clear understanding of the valley sediments. The thickest and richest layer of lithium brine is believed to be approximately 300 feet deep and is contained in an ash layer laid down during an active volcanic period. In addition there are five other units of brines and sediments located over a conglomerate foundation underlying the basin below the Clayton Valley floor at a depth of approximately 900 feet.

Data collected from the field work will be transferred to laboratories in Prescott, Arizona for hydrology, geophysics and geochemistry analysis by Hasbrouck Consulting resulting in the delineation of drill targets.

Drilling will be contracted and scheduled after receiving the results of the initial work.

The Company also announced today that Donald Morrison has retired from the office of President of the Company, and Donald Mosher has been appointed in his stead.  Mr. Morrison remains on the Board of Directors of the Company and will continue to provide ongoing consulting services to the Company.  “Don Morrison has been leading this Company since 1993,” said Don Mosher, incoming President and CEO.  “His vision and leadership are invaluable as the Company continues to forge ahead in building its asset base and increasing value for its shareholders.”
